Long Description:
The joint where a bath meets the tiled wall is one of the first places damp gets in if it’s not sealed properly — water runs down the tile, sits in that gap, and eventually finds its way behind the tiling. This trim closes that gap off, so it’s a proper barrier rather than just a bead of sealant that’ll need redoing in a year or two.
Features & Benefits
- Seals the bath-to-tile joint against water penetration
- Moisture-resistant construction, doesn’t break down in constant damp
- Protects the tile edge along that joint
- Straightforward to fit alongside the tiling itself
Specifications
This is a moisture-resistant trim made to seal the joint between a bath and tiled wall. It protects the tile edge at that joint and holds up to constant exposure to water, making it suited to bathrooms, wet rooms, and shower enclosures.
Where It’s Used
Comes up on pretty much every bath installation where the tiling runs down to the bath edge — new bathrooms and re-tiles alike. Also fine around shower trays and other spots where a bath-style seal is needed against a tiled wall.
Fitting
Goes in as part of the tiling work, fitted into the gap along the bath edge rather than after the tiles are grouted. Worth making sure the bath’s properly settled and level before fitting, since any movement in the bath afterward can work the joint loose over time. Comes through the same suppliers as the rest of our building materials range.
