A duct or insulation joint that isn’t sealed properly loses efficiency straight away — conditioned air leaks out at the seams, or damp gets into insulation it shouldn’t. This foil tape handles the heat that comes off ducting and HVAC systems better than a standard tape would, and it holds an airtight seal rather than just covering the join.

Specifications
This is an aluminium foil tape with a pressure-sensitive adhesive, made for sealing insulation boards, ductwork, and pipework. It resists heat, moisture, and general ageing, and suits residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC work.

Where It’s Used
Comes up on ductwork joints, insulation board seams, pipe insulation, and refrigeration equipment — anywhere an airtight seal actually affects how well the system performs, not just how it looks.

Fitting
Press it down firmly along the joint, working out any air pockets as you go, since a bubble under the tape is usually where a seal fails first. It conforms reasonably well to slightly uneven surfaces, but a very rough or dirty surface should be cleaned first for the adhesive to hold properly.
