Long Description:
External corners take more knocks than any other part of a plastered wall — a trolley, a moved piece of furniture, a doorway that gets bumped regularly. Left as plain plaster, that corner chips and crumbles over time. This bead goes in before plastering, giving the plasterer a straight edge to work to and giving the finished corner something stronger than plaster alone to absorb the impact.
Features & Benefits
- Gives a straight guide edge for plastering corners
- Protects the corner from knocks and chipping
- Corrosion-resistant, holds up long-term
- Works with plaster and cement render systems alike
Specifications
This is a corrosion-resistant corner bead for reinforcing external corners in plastering and rendering. Suits plasterboard, drylining, and rendering work, indoors and outdoors.
Where It’s Used
Comes up on any external corner being plastered — new builds, refurbishments, and any wall corner in a busy area like a hallway or doorway where knocks are more likely.
Fitting
Fixed in place before plastering, checked for plumb and level so the corner comes out straight once finished — any lean in the bead itself carries through to the whole corner. Comes through the same suppliers as the rest of our building materials range.
