A radiator that’s cold at the top but warm lower down usually just has air trapped in the system, not a fault with the radiator itself. This key fits the standard bleed valve and lets that air out, so the radiator heats evenly again without needing to call anyone out for what’s usually a two-minute job.

Fitting
Turn slowly and stop once water starts to trickle out rather than air hissing — that’s the sign it’s done. Have a cloth ready underneath, since a small amount of water always comes out at the end. Comes through the same suppliers as the rest of our building materials range.
