On a small repair, the standard width scrim tape is plenty. On a bigger job — a whole ceiling, a full stud wall run — the narrower tape just means more passes and more roll changes. This one’s 100mm wide and comes on a 100m roll, so it covers wider joints in a single strip and lasts through a lot more work before you need another roll.

Specifications
This is a self-adhesive fibreglass mesh scrim tape, pink-coloured, at 100mm width and 100m roll length. Suits larger plasterboard joints and bigger repair or new-build jobs where roll length matters.
Where It’s Used
Comes up on bigger plastering jobs — full room re-boards, commercial fit-outs, anywhere the standard narrower tape would mean stopping to change rolls too often.
Fitting
Press it directly over the joint or crack before filling, smoothing it flat so there’s no bubbling underneath. The extra width helps on wider joints or where boards haven’t quite lined up flush. Comes through the same suppliers as the rest of our building materials range.
